Machines that fit = your area ÷ a planning density, rounded down (Family Center 8, arcade 6.5, mall 5, bar 10, theme park / outdoor 12 m² per machine — adjustable space-planning norms; walkways and counters included). Machine count is a space answer only — it does not enter the payback formula.
Profit per month = daily visitors × spend per visitor × days open × (1 − running-cost %). Visitors and spend are your own answers; running-cost % (starts at 40%) and days open (starts at 30) are starting assumptions you can adjust.
Payback = (machine budget + other startup costs) ÷ profit per month, rounded up.
